Thanks for your interest in participating in one of our on-line forums. We are determined to make our forums as safe and secure as possible. For this reason, getting access to the forum takes a few steps. You will be required to join the Christian Recovery International Forums, our host for on-line forums, using a password of your choice. After that, you can use the form below to request access to one of the private Clergy Recovery Network Forums.
Step One
The first step is to register at the Christian Recovery International forums. Here are the steps in the process: Click on the word “register” at the left side of the top, dark blue navigation bar. On the next screen confirm your agreement to forum rules. On the next screen enter a user name (This does NOT have to be your real name. A pseudonym will afford you anonymity while participating in a forum), a preferred password, an email address (This must be a real, functioning email address.) and answer the ‘security question’ at the bottom. After this you will be sent an email, to which you must respond as instructed.
After responding to this email you will receive another email confirming that you are a registered user of the CRI forums. If you wish, you can participate in any of the ‘open’ forums at www.christianrecovery.com. If you are new to online forums you can also practice some basic skills for posting and responding to posts in the ‘testing’ forum — just don’t post anything personal or sensitive there, these are PUBLIC forums. You do NOT yet have access to the PRIVATE Clergy Recovery Network forums.
Step Two
After you have been notified that you are a registered user at the Christian Recovery Intl forums, fill out this Access Request Form asking to participate in a Clergy Recovery Network Forum. Then just wait a couple of days for us to respond to your request. Be assured that only the forum administrator will see the information you submit on this form. When you post in a forum no information about you except your user name will be public unless you decide to share it. If you are anxious about giving specifics. . . not all fields are required. We must know the forum in which you wish to participate, your name, the user name you used when registering for the CRI forums, a valid functioning email address, your gender, the information about your relationship to your ministry or church and your validation of having read our disclaimer. We also need enough information about your reasons for joining the forum to assess whether this is an appropriate resource for you. After you submit this request you will receive an email giving you access to the CRN forum for which you applied or notifying you regarding alternative forums.
Please understand that, although access to CRN forums requires both a valid password and an access approval, it is probably possible for a sufficiently motivated and computer knowledgeable person to hack into the forums-it has happened to more technologically sophisticated folks than us. By requesting your password and access to the forum, you agree to participate under these circumstances.
